SUBANG JAYA: Fire and rescue personnel who were assaulted at Sri Maha Mariamman Devasthanam Temple of the USJ25 earlier in the day is in critical condition, said Minister of Housing and Local Government, Zuraida Kamaruddin.

Muhammad Adib Mohd Kassim, 24, was admitted to the intensive care unit of the Subang Jaya Medical Center (SJMC) this morning.

Meanwhile, the communication department of the Federal Department of Fire and Rescue announced that its staff, Muhammad Adib, had died.

"The news of the death of a member of the Fire and Rescue staff on social media is false.

"He is in a stable state and we are praying together for his recovery," he said in a publication on Twitter.
