Arkham Collection & confirmed, but prepare your wallet

So, you may remember a few days ago when we published a report suggesting that a new collection of Batman: Arkham games was coming on Xbox One, with 4K support? At the time, we did not have confirmation that this was happening. However, it's official – the Collection arrived.

Batman

Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb has confirmed the announcement on his blog page earlier in the evening, the games can now be purchased on Xbox One. the Batman: Arkham Collection can be found here, and has this for the official description:

"Batman: Arkham Collection brings you the final versions of Rocksteady's Arkham Trilogy games, including all post-launch content, in a complete collection.

Check out two of the most critically acclaimed titles of the latest generation: Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City, with images completely remastered and updated. Complete your experience with the explosive finale of the Arkham series in Batman: Arkham Knight. Become a Batman and use a wide range of gadgets and abilities to deal with Gotham's most dangerous villains, to finally face the ultimate threat to the city that Batman has vowed to protect. "

Although there is no specific mention of the games being supported by 4K, the list Is show that games are Xbox One X Enhanced, so they should bring out the best of Rocksteady adventures.

But, alas, there is a trap. You remember in the past, being able to pick up the likes of Batman: Back to Arkham and Batman: Arkham Knight for only a few dollars? Apparently with Arkham Collectionhe sits at $ 60.

Yes, you read correctly. Instead of $ 30, the package is apparently at a full price. And it's not even included Batman: The origins of Arkham for good measure. (To be fair, the DLC for each game is included, although some may say that it remains a bit high. The ranking of the game has already been shaken by Xbox users, probably because of the price.)

For those of you who have bought the games before, there is good news. They should automatically be updated to become Xbox One X Enhanced, so you do not have to worry about buying this collection to get them. This is just for those purists who all want to have them at the same time, but it is never bad to look around and find them on sale.

There is no word yet if the Arkham Collection is planned for a PlayStation 4 version, because there is no sign on the PSN store for the moment. However, the games are available for a separate purchase; and based on what we played, they look pretty spiffy on a PS4 Pro. We will let you know if WB Games announces an exit.

So, if you're a fan of Batman, make sure to check the Collection out now. Prepare your wallet for this bat sting. The DLC is worth it, but a holiday sale would be nice. And, uh, we can have 4K Origins one day, no?

Batman: Arkham Knight and Batman: Back to Arkham are now available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
