China orders stop genetic modification activities of babies

China's Science Ministry has ordered people involved in the controversial experiment to modify a baby's gene to end its activities, said today a government official at the official press.

The ministry "strongly opposes the incident related to the issue of baby genes and has already asked the organization concerned to suspend the scientific activities of the staff involved," said a responsible for the ministry, according to the public television channel CCTV.
