With the release of Creed 2 this week, the 72-year-old star has now played Rocky in eight films. First with Rocky for best actor in 1976 and then for 2015 in Creed for Best. Stallone posted a video in which he said that Creed 2 was probably his "last rodeo" as a boxer.

"It's my ultimate privilege to be able to create and play this meaningful character.
"Although it breaks my heart, unfortunately everything has to pass … and end. I love you kind and generous people, and the most wonderful thing of all, is that ROCKY will never die because he lives in you … "
Nevertheless, it seems likely that Creed 3 will occur with a potential exit date of November 2020.
While Rocky 8 is on his way, Stallone is now shooting Rambo 5 Last Blood.
