Dell recently revealed to have detected an attack on his network in order to steal information from his customers. Due to the violation, the company has since decided to reset the password for all Dell.com customers.

According to the official statement of the company, the attack took place on November 9, 2018 and concerns Dell's official website, which also acts as an online store. Targeted information includes names, email addresses, and passwords, although passwords have been hashed.
Dell stated that its own investigations had shown that there was no clear evidence that the attacker managed to steal information from the company's network. Interestingly, credit cards and other sensitive information were not targeted.
