Digi Offers Fiber Optic Broadband at 50 Mbps for RMB 99 / Month in Klang Valley

When TNB announced its fiber broadband pilot project in Jasin Melaka, Digi is one of the participating countries. broadband providers and they offer 50 Mbps for less than RM100 / month. It now appears that Digi is currently expanding its home fiber optic services in the Klang Valley.

As discovered by Lowyat.net, Digi's fiber broadband network is now available in some areas, including Subang, Rawang and Kajang. The 50 Mbit / s fiber optic package is offered at 99 RM / month, while the 100 Mbit / s fiber optic is 125 RM / month.

According to Digi, they offer their Home Fiber service as a pilot at Bandar Sunway, Bangi, Kajang, Rawang, Shah Alam and Subang. It is open to all Malaysian residents, including existing subscribers and non-subscribers to Digi, without initial payment.

The Home Fiber pilot project will allow Digi to explore other ways to connect Malaysians to what matters most. When asked if they were using existing fiber networks such as HSBB, they said they were working with multiple ISPs for the different pilot projects. However, they can not disclose details of the provider they use for each case.

In terms of speed, the 50 Mbps plan comes with 20 Mbps for download, while the 100 Mbps plan comes with 50 Mbps for downloads. The packages are for the Internet only and Digi does not offer voice services. For the wireless router, Digi offers a D-Link DIR-842 that supports dual-band with 4 antennas.
