The saga of moving the temple was marked by a long legal battle, demonstrations and chaos, including burning vehicles, acts of violence by the crowd, an attack on the temple and material damage.

Kadir also trained his weapons on Education Minister Maszlee Malik, saying that the MPPP MP had also been "treated" by Mahathir.

He said he agreed with Mahathir that the country already had many religious schools and that it was not necessary to inject more religion into the national schools.

These schools, he said, should return to their original goals of being schools that unite all races and all religions.

"It is unlikely that a smart minister like Maszlee will know that many non-Malay parents do not send their children to national schools because they are more like religious schools.

"On the other hand, more and more Malay parents are sending their kids to Chinese schools because they want their kids to excel."

Kadir added that his selections against Waytha and Maszlee did not mean that the "rest" had succeeded, but that it was not yet "their" turn.
