Electronic sport is officially a sporting medal for the 2019 Sea Games; Six gold medals to win

The organizing committee of Games of South East Asia 2019 announced that electronic sports would be a sport in its own right, which should be good news for fans across the region. The Philippines being designated as host country, the event will take place from November 30 to December 10.

According to an ESPN report, there will be six gold medals to be won via eSports. Two of them will be awarded on game console, two more will be awarded to a PC and the other two gold medals are for the mobile.

To be accredited by the Asian Federation of Electronic Sports, only one title – Mobile Legends: Bang Bang – has been confirmed as one of the official games of the event. ESPN said that other titles would probably be revealed by December 15th.

At the same time, the organizing committee also announced that Razer is the official eSports partner of SEA Games 2019. This event is part of the eSport development efforts undertaken by the company throughout the region, which also includes a multi-million dollar investment in Malaysia.

Razer has not yet provided detailed details regarding his official involvement in SEA Games 2019, but knowing the company, hope to have big plans very soon.
