Epic Games has released Fortnite 6.31 Update and has detailed the changes, modifications, and new additions in the full release notes. The Battle Royale mode heads are Team Rumble Limited Time and two new Pump Shotgun rarities. Meanwhile, the Save the World mode contains a new builder called Airheart, which comes with a built-in rotating and omnidirectional Sentry Exoskeleton (R.O.S.I.E). Here is what's new.
As you may have guessed, the Team Rumble involves two teams of 20 players, the first to achieve 100 eliminations having been crowned winner. To spice things up, players will reappear five seconds after their death and keep their inventory when they join the battle. In addition, eliminated players generate a random ammunition type and a random stack of 120 wooden, 90 stone or 60 metal materials when removed.
The new pump guns are epic and legendary variants. They inflict respectively 105/110 maximum damage and their introduction coincides with some differences between maximum damage and damage mitigation (compared to before, they will inflict more damage from near but not far). These two types of shotgun can be found among the ground booty, chests, supply drops and vending machines. With this change, Epic has removed the ground rifle from the double barrel shotgun. So expect that the rifles you find on the ground are more often of the variety Pump.
Another weapon-related note change concerns Dynamite, which was recently added. It is now possible to take a dynamite that has been launched and throw it away; This is done using the button / touch button almost.
Finally, Epic has announced the introduction of a gift feature for a limited time (except on iOS). This feature will only be initially available for a week, but it allows you to buy items in the store and send them to friends. This has several requirements, as described by Epic:
- Make sure that multi-factor authentication is enabled on your account. If you do not know how to get this setup, follow the instructions below.
- You must have been friends with someone for at least 48 hours before you can send him a gift.
- You will only be able to give a gift three times in a 24-hour period.
- All gifts purchased are NOT refundable.
- You can only offer an item currently available in the Item Store.
