The Genesis G90, sold since the end of 2015, had a makeover mid-life. This facelift is very important. Almost unrecognizable from its predecessor, the G90 facelift – revealed this week in South Korea – has all-new front and rear ends.

Although the rear design of the pre-facelift is safe, of the S-Class type, the refreshed butt of the G90 is unique. Two full-width LED strips dominate, with the top line paused for the Genesis script in the middle. It's a bit of what Lincoln does in the United States, but it's very distinctive.
No makeover of this type for the G90 cab, which looks pretty much the same as before. However, the controls have been simplified, the air conditioning has been reduced and the user interface updated infotainment. The system is now able to receive radio updates for cards and software. One can also see a change in the wood trim, which is now of the unpolished open pore type.
The G90 is equipped with the latest Hyundai driver assistance technology: it is now lane-centric, the front collision-avoidance system now makes it possible to detect bikes and also offers an assistance function to assist the driver. exit safely.
No word on the changes under the hood, so it's likely that the 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 (365 hp / 510 Nm) and 5.0-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine (420 hp / 520 Nm) ) remain, coupled with an eight-speed automatic transmission and optional H-TRAC all-wheel drive.
Better to be safe than sorry? The previous G90 believed it, but not this one. Let's see if daring is worth it for the young high-end brand.
