Arrow Season 7 Redemption on slab

Spoilers. So, Oliver Queen has spent a good part of this season of Arrow behind bars. We all thought it would come out at one point, especially with the upcoming "Elseworlds" crossover in just under two weeks. But now, in the latest episode, "The Slabside Redemption", Oliver Queen, with the help of Bronze Tiger by Michael Jai White, is out of jail. But as you can imagine, it was not a clean escape. Especially now that Diaz was on the scene.

Yes, Ricardo Diaz, who managed to be an arrow on Oliver's side just like Malcolm Merlyn, actually took control of the prison just as Oliver had warned the guards that the Dragon was coming. And although it was Oliver's last day anyway, it turned out to be a real fight in prison, thanks to director James Bamford. But enough to bury the lede. Who died in this episode?

For starters, it was not just Diaz who had beef with Oliver, but two others Arrow the bad guys in the form of Derek Sampson and Brick. Now Oliver has managed to slice Sampson's femoral artery with a blade, leaving him only a few moments to live, but that's not what killed him. Later in the episode, when Oliver confronts Diaz, the Dragon fires an electric fire in the jail. And Bronze Tiger threw Sampson off the balcony and straight into the flames. This that ultimately led to his disappearance.

But what about the brick? During the chaos, Brick was ready to escape through the prison morgue, if not for Oliver's stolen "friend" Stanley, who stabbed Brick mortally for making fun of him. And Stanley himself manages to escape. As of last week, Oliver sees more and more the dark side of Stanley. It will be interesting to see how this could happen.

As for Diaz? He gets caught by Oliver during the recent Arrow episode, but Oliver does not kill him. Rather, Diaz is left in a cell while Oliver leaves a free man. So from now on, Diaz is no longer a immediate threatened, but as he is left alive, it is quite possible that the door is left open to cause even more chaos in the series.

What did you think of last night's episode Arrow? What did you think of the fight in the prison? And what do you think Oliver will do now that he is no longer incarcerated? Let us know in the comments below.

Arrow airs Monday night at 8 am on the CW.
