Muhammad Adib was part of a team of nine firefighters responding to a fire at Seafield Sri Maha Mariamman Temple, in USJ 25, where rioters were protesting against the temple's move.
During the incident, rioters dragged him out of his vehicle and attacked him, inflicting injuries on broken ribs, punctured lungs and other internal injuries. .
