Launch of the Nissan X-Trail facelift in Thailand

Nissan has provided the X-Trail with an update for Thailand. The update adds minor improvements and introduces a new kit for the SUV. The range of variants has also been revised, with the 2.0-liter petrol being removed from the Kingdom model range, the range now consisting of three 2.5-liter petrol (2.5S 2WD, 2.5V 2WD and 2.5 VL 4WD) and two hybrid versions of 2.0 liters (V and VL, both four-wheel drive).

The exterior revisions are minor: a new front fairing with V-Motion grille and bumper restyled, as well as new headlights equipped with LED daytime running lights. The rear has a new bumper and rear combination lights with LED boomerang lights, as well as new chrome side door moldings to complete the overhaul.

There is also a new 19-inch aluminum alloy rim design for the 2.5VL four-wheel drive variant, as well as new exterior colors. In total, six shades are available for the car, namely Monarch Orange, Radiant Red, Black Star, Storm White, Shiny Silver and Dark Iridescent Gray.

The new kit includes an auto-trigger liftgate and a new A-IVI audio entertainment system with a seven-inch touch screen. The SUV is also equipped with many driver assistance systems, identified under the umbrella Nissan Intelligent Mobility. Standard adjustment items in the range include Forward Collision Warning, Intelligent Emergency Braking, and Moving Object Detection.

In addition, the petrol and hybrid VL variants are equipped with a smart cruise control, a rear cross traffic alert, a blind spot alarm, a Lane departure warning and a high beam system. All grades are equipped with a 360-degree viewing system around the four-camera Panoramic View Monitor (AVM).

The petrol version of the X-Trail is equipped with a 2.5-liter QR25DE engine offering 171 hp at 6,000 rpm and 233 Nm at 4,000 rpm, while the five-seat hybrid is equipped with a 2.0-liter MR20DD crusher delivering 144 hp at 6,000 rpm. 200 Nm at 4,400 rpm, powered by an electric motor offering an additional 41 PS and 160 Nm. Both engine options are associated with a CVT box in manual mode.

The price of the refreshed X-Trail starts at 1.35 million baht (RM174,880) for the 2.5S basic variant with 2 wheel drive up to 1.66 million baht (RM215,000) for the model 2, 5VL 4WD from 1.537 million (RM199,100) for the 2.0V 4WD.
