Liverpool must call on a playmaker to tie the midfielder to the attacking trio

The best sides have learned to beat the reds

Mark Baker, Huyton

The quality of Liverpool is such that it will defeat the majority of teams, but a clear plan has been developed to improve the Reds, provided they have enough players and organization.

The teams start by putting pressure on Liverpool, disrupting the accumulation and forcing the errors. We are not able to build the game through the midfielder under organized pressure and make the ball to the opposition in the most advantageous areas.

Once a player has earned a striker advantage, he sinks into a medium-low block, hands the ball over to Liverpool and invites him to be imaginative, quality technical and mastery of his ability to break his compact angles and distances, normally orienting the balloon towards large areas.

Liverpool then forces forward, transfers fast enough or has vision to break the lines. Expect to see the pattern again.

Doing rough in Europe – but an easy victory is to be expected

Alex Watt, Rainford

It just would not be Liverpool if we did not do it the hard way.

Our last 16 hopes in the Champions League are now based on the victory of the last group match against Napoli at Anfield.

After an impressive second-half performance against Watford, I was hoping Liverpool would quickly start PSG, but without success.

A bad start was not helped by some bad Klopp tactical decisions. Playing Hendo, Milner and Gini was a strange call and they were bypassed far too easily at times. Why none of Keita, Fabinho or Shaqiri has begun to overtake me.

Our starting form in Europe is a real concern if we can make progress. The good news is that we have the Derby so we can get back on track with an easy win.

Hope the Blues will come and try

Jay Riley, Terre de Terre

Yet another European performance at Liverpool Liverpool. No lessons have been learned from Naples and Belgrade.

The main issue is the midfield, we do not control the game well enough and it must be remedied. There is also no link with the attacking trio, which highlights the need to sign a playmaker.

On Sunday we have a chance to redeem ourselves at the Merseyside Derby in Anfield. Let's hope that this season, the Blues will try their luck and that the match should go well, instead of the three dark encounters of last season, while they were content to just try to contain us.

I'm sure Jurgen Klopp will make some changes to the game and I'm expecting a better performance from the Reds.
