If Tottenham stuff Arsenal Sunday, no one will be happier than Lucas Moura.
The Brazilian keeps his anger under control before his derby clash in North London with Gunners boss Unai Emery.
But Moura is hungry to assert his point after being forced to leave Paris Saint-Germain for the Spurs in January. He was blocked by Emery after the arrivals to the French club during successive summers of superstar attackers Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.
Since then, Moura – who has won four titles in Ligue 1, three French Cups and four League Cups with PSG – impressed under Mauricio Pochettino in N17.
Emery was to fall on his sword at the end of last season after a failed European campaign against the champions of France, but has since revived the Gunners.
Moura insisted that he now had the intention of allowing his football to speak.
"I believe in my talent," he said. "In my quality. I'm trying to show it – him – to the Spurs.
"I forget the last five or six months spent at PSG. I like to think of the four years I have been very happy and where I have won many trophies. The last year has been to learn and grow. Now, I think I'm more experienced and stronger. "
When asked if Emery had already explained why he was not playing, Moura added, "No.
"I have to respect the decision of the coach. I know it's difficult for him because he has to choose 11 players. I do not like to look back. I like to see what I can do, what I can win.
"I have nothing against Unai, I respect him, he's a very good coach."
The love and conviction shown in Moura by Pochettino and the Spurs family have clearly made their mark.
"I'm in a big club and I play with big players," he added. "I am so happy here. I really believe in this club. I really believe that we can win the Premier League, we can win trophies this season. I am here to help and make history. We must work and believe always. "
It was very far from the summer when Moura opened his heart to the pain that he had endured from being left in the cold by Emery.
"It was very difficult – the worst seven months of my life," he told ESPN Brazil.

"I had a very good season, I was the second best scorer of the team, just behind Cavani. The next season, I was not even called. I was going to practice, I was not even in the game. I was returning home. It was very difficult. But I kept working hard, strong. And God gave me the best gift of life, my son.
This season, Moura scored five goals, the most notable of which dropped Manchester United to Old Trafford and earned a crucial point in the Champions League at PSV. But he is well aware that at Emery, the Spurs are confronted with a tactician who will prepare his men and prepare them for the victory.
"It's a person who loves football," said Moura. "He likes to work and he tries to show it to the players."
