Angel Di Maria thinks Louis van Gaal is responsible for his failure at Manchester United.

The Argentinian was a surprise surprise at the signing of Real Madrid in 2014, but he spent only one season at Old Trafford before joining Paris Saint-Germain.

Di Maria only scored four goals during his stint at United and failed to secure a regular spot in the team led by Van Gaal.

And the 30-year-old, who is ready to face United in PSG's game against the Champions League next month, admits his "complications" with the Dutch have prevented him from playing at Old Trafford.

"Manchester has changed with his new coach, they have not lost a match," Di Maria told France Bleu.

"But we must think only of ourselves and of ourselves, and if we do things well, everything will be fine.

"I only stayed for one year [at United]it was not the best moment of my career, or rather I was not allowed to spend my best time.

"There were complications with the coach at the time, but thank God, I was able to come to PSG and show again who I was."
