More and more people do not have health insurance, says CDC

(CNN) – Coverage gains from the Affordable Care Act are beginning to decline.

According to a new report from the National Health Interview Survey conducted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the rate of uninsured for Americans aged 45 to 64 rose to 10.3%. last year.

This has increased by one percentage point compared to 2017.

In 2018, 30.4 million people of all ages were not insured, which hardly differs from 2017, "but 18.2 million fewer people than in 2010," said the CDC .

The uninsured rate remained stable among young adults at 13.3%.

The uninsured rate serves as a gauge of President Trump's impact on health care coverage.

His administration seeks to dismantle all aspects of Obamacare in court.

The historic law on health care is said to have extended coverage to millions of Americans.
