KUALA LUMPUR, Nov. 27 – Taiwan's popular Tiger Sugar Bubble Milk Tea is expected to open very soon … in Subang Jaya!
Since the Taichung-based tea brand announced the opening of its first point of sale in Malaysia, social media has been touring its location.
On November 10, a recruitment notice posted on their Facebook page indicated that the workplace would be Subang Jaya. There is no official confirmation yet, but there you have it.
So what's the problem with Tiger Sugar: Taiwan, Hong Kong and Singapore fans are ready to brave the queues for an hour?
According to Straits time, the drink is served with boba, mini-pearls or a combination of both, cooked with a thick, brown syrup. The syrup is composed of four types of Taiwanese brown sugar that give the drink a pleasant scent.
Another distinct feature is the use of thick, fresh milk. No milk essence. This gives the drink a softer texture. There is also their thick cream mousse, which gives the drink a slightly cheesy taste. Succulent!
In an interview with the Straits time, The owners of Tiger Sugar in Singapore say that the preparation of the drink is done in six stages, including a final quality control.
Even the type of ice used is different. Similar to those served with your premium whiskey, the crystalline ice is made from filtered water without any impurities. It also makes it last longer in the heat.
Of course, you can also feed your Instagram with boba milk, brown sugar, Tiger Sugar. It's a sign of success that you've scored a mug with the distinct streaks of dark brown syrup that look like tiger stripes!
Do not forget to self-attack quickly because scratches tend to disappear quickly. And remember to shake (Instagram story opportunity!) 15 times as recommended by Tiger Sugar. So boom! the drink with its tasty boba is ready.
At Tiger Sugar, the brown sugar boba is cooked in small quantities. Every two hours, a new batch replaces the old one. It is said that tapioca pearls have a soft, rubbery texture without a hard center. To win!
There are two choices. the larger size boba with its plush texture and mini pearls. If you can not decide which one, just ask for both! Unlike other establishments offering bubble teas, you will find that they do not offer an option to customize the amount of ice cream and sugar you want.
In Singapore, where their first (and largest) store in Southeast Asia has just opened on Nov. 3, they are offering brown sugar green tea with boba or black milk tea. No confirmation is available if the menu of Malaysia will be similar.
Fingers crossed, the Tiger Sugar selling point here opens soon. On Facebook, it promised an opening in November, but until today, there is no news.
