Sadio Mane is expected to be part of Liverpool's starting lineup against Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday night, after being considered good enough to train Tuesday morning.

The striker appeared as an unexpected doubt for the decisive test of the Champions League after being caught badly – and received Tuesday noon as the deadline to prove his fitness or risk missing the flight of the club for Paris.

However, Mane took part in training on Tuesday morning as Jurgen Klopp was overseeing a light exercise on the club's training ground, in front of reporters and film crews.

Mane should therefore be in the spotlight for Wednesday's role, the coach should appoint him alongside Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino during the well-known Liverpool attack.

It remains to be seen if Liverpool settles but Klopp has recently favored a 4-2-3-1 form to welcome the Xherdan Shaqiri in top form.

The defeat in Serbia against the Red Star in Belgrade meant that Klopp's team lost its strong position at the top of Group C and needed a win against one of its most formidable opponents for progress.

Not to beat PSG in Paris would be a tense final to win that could also require a victory by two clear goals to straighten his face-to-face record with the Serie A team.

Speaking Sunday night, Mane, last week engaged in a huge new Liverpool contract, listed the three obvious players his team must beware of if they want to inflict a rare home defeat to the league giants.

"It's an important game [against PSG]. Neymar, Mbappe, Cavani … even defensively, they are really impressive, "said Mane Telefoot.

"Kylian Mbappe is an excellent player, he has progressed so fast. It's good for the French national team. He gave you the World Cup this summer. It's so good for you.

However, Mane is confident in her ability to do the job in France and achieve what no other team has done at Parc des Princes this season.

In fact, PSG lost only once at home last season – in its last game of the season against Rennes – while the title was already wrapped up.

"The ethics of our team is fantastic," added Mane. "Everything we do, we do it together. That's why we are so strong.

"It will not be easy against Paris, but with Liverpool everything is possible."
