Temple largely calm tonight except for the motorcycle group – Nation

SUBANG JAYA: The situation around Seafield Sri Maha Mariamman Temple at USJ25, Subang Jaya was relatively quiet tonight, except around 11 pm, when a large group of motorcyclists arrived.

Police officers waiting in the area ordered them to leave immediately and they complied shortly thereafter.

The group of more than 20 motorcyclists had arrived on the road in front of the temple.

However, a group of about 30 to 40 people walked to an empty parcel nearby. This was in front of the main road facing the temple, under the tram line.

The group remained until the police asked them to continue. When they left, they asked to speak to reporters.

The group's representative, Sharizad Sahak, told the media: "We are not here to cause problems, we just want to show people not to trample the Malays."

They returned to the empty lands where they had gathered earlier, shouted religion-related slogans, and then dispersed.

Unlike last night (November 26), while the roads were filled with people showing their support for the temple, the situation was calm tonight.

Police allowed small groups of people to come to the temple to pray, but crowds did not gather along the roads.
