Honda CRF250R 2019

Newly introduced in 2018, the CRF250R saw the GEICO Honda and TiLube Honda teams win multiple victories in the AMA Supercross and Arenacross competitions, respectively, while also winning national amateur races. With an increased focus on acceleration performance, the 2019 model adds to the race's winning potential by obtaining factory-inspired updates for the engine, brakes, and electronic components. All this put together and the CRF250R quickly turns the holes into holes into victories in the race. In fact, internal tests confirmed that the CRF250R 2019 was still 0.2 seconds faster than its predecessor thanks to a control angle located on the Honda test track, which represents a real potential for gaining podium.

2019 updates

  • A new cam profile based on feedback from the Team HRC Team MX2 race team provides strong cornering acceleration
  • New intake and exhaust port geometry improves engine power at low engine speeds while maintaining peak CRF250R performance
  • The new 44mm throttle body improves intake airflow at low revs compared to the previous 46mm version, for improved cornering performance
  • The all-new piston oil jet utilizes five nozzle ports instead of four, for increased piston cooling efficiency and reduced shots, allowing precise adjustment of the ignition timing for a distribution of optimal power
  • 50mm shortened straight exhaust pipe for excellent high-power output
  • All-new AC generator reduces weight and friction losses
  • Renthal Fatbar® reduces the weight of the steering system and flexes for optimal comfort
  • The upper triple gripper has two handlebar support locations to move the 26mm handlebars back and forth, ensuring the rider's comfort. When the bracket is rotated 180 degrees, the handlebar can be moved an additional 10 mm from the base position, giving four unique driving positions in total
  • New engine protection provides increased airflow, improving engine cooling performance
  • Redesigned fork protectors provide improved coverage
  • Black rims offer a strong on and off-road presence
  • The new lighter front brake caliper now uses pistons of different diameters (30 mm and 27 mm) for high braking performance
  • Updated front brake hose has reduced expansion for more precise braking
  • The new-shaped footrests are 20% lighter and eliminate mud more easily, giving the driver unparalleled feel and confidence in all driving conditions.

Engine / Transmission

  • 249cc single-cylinder, high-performance dual overhead cam, high speed limit engine provides excellent performance
  • DLC (Diamond-Like-Coated) Rocker Arm optimizes valve lift while maintaining low engine height
  • The downward air outlet layout produces high power and allows for optimum throttle response by reducing drag, thereby improving air efficiency.
  • Two exhaust ports allow optimal air efficiency
  • Standard electric start for easy and fast engine start
  • Easily selectable Standard, Smooth and Aggressive driving modes allow easy adjustment to suit pilot preferences or course conditions
  • The selectable HRC launch control provides a constant flow of torque for excellent performance during race starts

Chassis / Suspension

  • The lightweight aluminum frame with tapered main spars provides excellent feedback from the driver
  • Low center of gravity reduces forward lift for strong acceleration
  • 1.66 gallon light and compact titanium tank for minimum weight
  • Smooth bodywork facilitates the cyclist's movement
  • The graphics in the mold are durable and resistant to peeling caused by washing or abrasion
  • Geomax MX3S tires for superior shock absorption and grip in a wide variety of conditions
