Recent reports have revealed that Vivo could soon launch a new smartphone of the NEX series, equipped with dual display. It could be the successor of the Vivo NEX smartphone announced in India earlier this year. New designer Vivo Benjamin Geskin has created new renders of the next Vivo dual-display phone. The renders were created based on rumors surrounding the mysterious Vivo phone.
Yesterday, YouTuber shared a video featuring a mysterious dual-display smartphone. YouTuber also revealed that the smartphone was equipped with a round shaped RGB light called Lunar Ring. It seems to be placed at the back where the three rear cameras are placed. However, he did not confirm the exact identity of the smartphone.
The Vivo NEX 2 from Geskin reveals that it is equipped with two displays, just like the recently announced Nubia X phone. The front panel of the phone is fully occupied by the main screen, which is integrated with a sub-screen fingerprint reader.
The back of the phone has a smaller screen with a Vivo mark underneath. Two camera sensors are enclosed in the RGB illuminated lunar ring. The third camera sensor placed on the outside of the lunar ring could be a ToF camera for 3D detection. An LED flash is also available for camera sensors.
There is no selfie camera at the front of the phone. Users of the so-called Vivo NEX 2 can use rear-mounted camera sensors to capture high-resolution photos in selfie mode using the rear screen as a viewfinder.
The photo below shows a leak of the dual-display Vivo phone that surfaced on Weibo earlier this week. Geskin's makes the correspondences with the phone indicated in the YouTube video as well as with the device appearing on the photo disclosed. Is it really the Vivo NEX 2?
