A developer-related lawyer, One City Development Sdn Bhd, hired Malaysian hooligans to "secure" Seafield Sri Maha Mariamman Temple before the 147-year-old place of worship was demolished. Monday, said Interior Minister Muhyiddin Yassin.

The first police investigations revealed that the lawyer had paid the leader of a Malaysian group RM 150,000 to take control of the temple, before taking over and protecting the temple, before representatives of the company from the developer do not show up later, accompanied by the police.
