The former sub-brand of Oppo, Realme, today launched its latest smartphone on the Indian market, Realme U1. This is the first smartphone in the company's new series of phones, focused on autonomous users.
The smartphone, dubbed "India's SelfiePro" by the company, will be available for sale in India via Amazon. There are three color options: Ambitious Black, Bright Blue, and Burning Gold.
Regarding pricing and availability, the 3GB model of RAM is sold at Rs. 11,999 (~ $ 170) while the 4GB model of RAM costs Rs. 14,999 (~ $ 212). It will go on sale from December 5th with some offers from Reliance Jio, SBI Bank and the free EMI option.
The back of the phone is bright, with diffraction gradation, as it features 13 layers of laminating technology, which the company calls Light Pillar Design.

It is the first smartphone in the world to be powered by the MediaTek Helio P70 chipset. It is built by TSMC using 12nm FinFET technology and features the Cortex-A73 and Cortex A53 cores in the same 4 + 4 arrangement, combined with the ARM Mali-G72 graphics processor.
The phone is available in two memory configurations: 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage and 4 GB of RAM with 64 GB of internal storage. A microSD card slot also allows users to increase the phone's storage capacity up to 256GB.
The highlight of the smartphone is the camera module. It features a dual camera at the back, consisting of a 13 megapixel main sensor and a 2 megapixel secondary sensor. It comes with AI Photography and AI Beautigy + to enhance the experience of photography.
It supports studio portrait lighting, Super Vivid 2.0 and AI scene detection as well as slow motion video recording. The company revealed that the slow motion video will also be broadcast on Realme 2 Pro by the end of the year.
On the front, the phone is equipped with a 25 megapixel Sony IMX576 sensor with f / 2.0 aperture and features such as Smarter Groupfi to take group selfies. It also supports the front-end unlock feature which is supposed to unlock the phone in just 0.1 seconds.
The connectivity options on the device include Dual VoLTE 4G, WiFi 802.11b / g / n / ac dual band (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS. The phone runs under the Android 8.1 Oreo operating system with ColorOS 5.2 at the top and is powered by a 3.500mAh battery.
