The Vivo Nex 2 leaks with two displays, a rear LED ring and a 3D scanner

A new Vivo Nex phone with a dual-screen design, a trio of rear cameras and a strange LED ring seems to be on the right track, according to a series of images that have leaked and a semi-unpacking. According to rumors, the Vivo Nex 2 would be launched in December, would be the successor of the Nex S phone that popularized the selfie camera pop-up.

Similar to the Nubia X, the Nex 2 would have a dual-screen design in an apparent attempt to maximize the ratio between the screen and the body of the front display. You only return the phone and use the second screen if you want to take a video call or a selfie, thus eliminating the need for a notch or a telescope to accommodate a front camera.

In addition to the second screen, the phone also features a RGB LED "lunar ring" placed around a network of triple-back cameras. Apparently, one of the uses of the ring is to shine for notifications. We do not yet know the exact specifications of the cameras, but according to rumors, the Nex 2 would have a similar flight time scanner that impressed us earlier this year in Shanghai. The Vivo prototype we tested was able to generate a surprisingly detailed 3D model of Sam Byford's head, making the scanner interesting for use in photography and augmented reality.
