Godin on the way to Inter
Manchester United was hit hard in the pursuit of Diego Godin.
The club offered the Uruguayans a three-year contract last summer with Jose Mourinho, giving priority to signing a central defender, which has never happened.
But according to several reports, the 32-year-old is about to agree to join Inter Milan free of charge at the end of his contract.
The talks on an extension with Atletico Madrid have failed and it seems almost certain that his nine-year stay in Madrid will now end.
After fruitful discussions with the Italian club, Godin is expected to sign a contract until 2021 with the option for a year.

Koulibaly last
Manchester United are ready to wait for their turn before moving to Kalidou Koulibaly, the target number 1 of the central defender, it was said.
The Senegalese international has hinted earlier this week that he could soon join his friend Paul Pogba to United.

According to the London Evening Standard, Koulibaly remains the first choice of United to strengthen his defense, having been booked last summer.
However, Ed Woodward and co. would be happy to wait until the end of the current campaign before relaunching an offer on Koulibaly.

Arsenal eye first contract
Arsenal is close to the signing of midfielder Denis Suarez of Barcelona.
Suarez joined Barcelona in 2016 and made 36 appearances during his first campaign.
But his appearances have dropped considerably since then and this season he has played only two games in La Liga.
Arsenal is keen to take advantage of the situation of the 24 years to strengthen its workforce.
Arsenal director Unai Emery is aware of Suarez's qualities, having worked with him in Seville and played 47 times.
Emery lacks funds to spend in the transfer slot because of the increasing payroll and poor sales of players in recent years.
But transfer expert, Gianluca Di Marzio, says that Arsenal is leading the race for Suarez and is ready to reach an agreement.

Diego Costa back in Chelsea
Peter Crouch thinks that Chelsea must break his piggy bank to bring back Diego Costa.
"The only thing you need, is that someone you score 30 goals and that there is no player like Harry Kane, Mo Salah or Sergio Aguero," he said. he writes in his Daily Mail column.
"It was not so long ago, they did it. Diego Costa would absolutely transform Chelsea's fortune, and if it were mine, I'd blow up the bank and sign it again.
"You can talk about Gonzalo Higuain or Karim Benzema, but I think it would be Costa who would take Chelsea where they want to be.
"There was something about how Costa's career ended at Stamford Bridge that was not going well.
"I know that there were huge problems between him and Antonio Conte, but despite everything, it seemed like they had not fought to keep him."
