KUALA LUMPUR: Pakatan Harapan (PH) calls on the police to investigate an alleged attempt by Perak Menteri Besar Ahmad Faizal Azumu by Perno, claiming that it undermines parliamentary democracy within the meaning of of Article 124B of the Penal Code.
Perak DAP chief Nga Kor Ming said that the decision to file a police report under this section was intended to ensure that the "coup d'etat" in the state in 2009 did not take place. reproduce more.
"After discussions, we discovered that none of our 31 representatives were involved. This is quite a plot by Umno.
"We will table the report most likely tomorrow. We urge the police to investigate under sections 124B and 124C of the Penal Code, which is a very serious offense, "said Nga.
He warned Umno not to play with PH, adding that under Article 124B, the maximum sentence is 20 years.
"There are corrupt practices to buy reps, so it's definitely detrimental. We let the police conduct a thorough investigation to ensure that the 2008 coup will not happen again, "he told the Parliament lobby today.
Nga was asked to comment on a threat formulated by Perak's opposition leader, Saarani Mohamad, who was ready to reveal the state's executive advisers who had approached Umno's lawmakers. for that they support a motion of censure against the menteri besar.
Barisan Nasional (BN) had organized a coup in Perak in February 2009, when the three legislators of Pakatan Rakyat State at the time declared themselves independent.
The trio then supported BN in forming the Perak state government, which led to a series of court battles between former PAS menteri Nizar Jamaluddin and Zambry Abdul Kadir of Umno.
In February 2010, the Federal Court finally declared that Zambry was the legal menteri.
Nga had, this morning, asserted that there was a plot to overthrow Faizal, based on recent revelations from the chairman of the State Committee on Religious and Islamic Education, the latest news item. industry, rural development and entrepreneurs, Asmuni Awi and the former menteri besar Zambry.
According to Nga, Asmuni allegedly claimed that a Perak Umno leader would have offered him the post of menteri besar if he wanted to leave PH and form a new government.
The Perak government is not fragile
Nga, who is the MP for Teluk Intan, said he had full confidence in the 31 deputies, who all firmly support the state leadership.
"There is no question of a fragile government. Umno is desperate. The ultimate goal is to ensure the well-being and well-being of rakyat.
"We do not have the time to engage in such dirty tactics. It is clear that Umno is desperate, "he said, hoping the police would record Saarani's statement.
As to whether Perak PH was satisfied with the performance of menteri besar, said Nga, knowing that Faizal is a freshman, he has done relatively well.
"Our Perak MB has just tabled its budget. He has been reasonably successful.
"There is always room for improvement, we need to give him time to improve, and he has done quite well in some respects.
"He proved that he was a friendly people. He cares about the well-being of the people. Much better than the previous one, "he said.
Nga also refuted allegations that Faizal would not benefit from the cooperation of certain executive advisers.
"I think the line-up is solid. They work together as a team. As president of the state, my excos will give me information every month.
"For the moment, they are on the right track. We welcome all comments and constructive criticism, "he said.
Earlier in the day, Lenggong MP Shamsul Anuar Nasarah denied any allegation of conspiracy to overthrow the Perak government and said the information came from PH.
Shamsul said that the statement made by Saarani reflected the real situation, namely that the state government was striving to obtain the help of BN to achieve its goal.
"On this basis, I am sure that the President of the State did not make the statement recklessly.
"We can now see cracks appearing in the Perak government. Political parties are dissatisfied with the position of the board of directors.
"It's something that I think has not been started by the constituent parts of the NL, but by PH themselves," he said.
When asked if Umno was ready to assume the state in such circumstances, Shamsul said the party was ready to do so, as long as it did not violate his principles.
On the question of whether there would be a motion of censure filed, Shamsul said it was not up to him to comment because it was a state affair.
"I can only acknowledge the words of the chairman of the Umno Liaison Committee that the Perak government is in turmoil as a result of the battle for the position of the board.
"It's their crisis, not ours," he added.
