The woman, known only by her last name, Chen, woke up one morning to find that she was unable to hear her boyfriend's voice.
According to a Newsweek article, she also reportedly had ringing in her ears and vomiting.
After being hospitalized, Chen discovered that, oddly, she could hear female voices, which led doctors to diagnose her a rare ear problem, known as "hearing loss". towards".
