Xiaomi Redmi 4 and Redmi 4A receive stable global ROM from MIUI 10

Xiaomi has started sending the MIUI 10 updates for Redmi 4 and Redmi 4A today. We are talking about international models because it is a stable global ROM, and not a case reserved for China.

The Redmi 4 was released in May 2017, while the 4A is even older than two years ago. As usual, Xiaomi perfectly supports its previous smartphones with the latest versions of its user interface overlay.

Unfortunately, and as usual, the underlying versions of Android are not updated. It's still Android 7.1.2 Nougat under the beautiful new paint job MIUI 10. In addition, the Redmi 4A is stuck at the security patch of July 2018, while the Redmi 4's is pulling better with the patches of October 2018.

MIUI 10 includes, among other things, full-screen gestures, a redesigned notification panel, new volume sliders, enhanced multitasking, and a "natural sound system".

The Redmi 4 update arrives at 316 MB. After installation, your phone will run MIUI 10.1.1.0.NAMMFI. On the other hand, if you have the Redmi 4A, you have to download 268 MB and after installation you will be on MIUI 10.1.1.0.NCCMIFI.
