Zimbabweans Pay 43% More for Netflix Subscription – Study

One study found that Zimbabwean users pay 43% more for their Netflix subscription (based on cost per security) than US customers, Zim Techreview reported.

This Comparitech study follows our study published last week on Netflix's war against VPN. Based on more than 5,000 tests, the study highlighted the effectiveness of 59 different VPNs to unlock 30 international Netflix catalogs. The study can be a useful reference for Netflix customers in Zimbabwe who want to access larger catalogs in the United States, the United Kingdom and other countries.

The most expensive monthly subscriptions for Netflix are mainly Nordic countries and their neighbors.

According to statistics, Danish citizens pay 3.95 dollars (about 40%) more than the United States for the privilege of access to Netflix. That's $ 7.92 (about 99%) more than the cheapest country, Brazil. These subscribers probably also have access to a much smaller library.

When it comes to value for money, Canada wins hands down in terms of cost per security. With over 5,500 titles available, each stock costs about 10% less than US, UK and Australian customers pay.

The real feeling of injustice comes from a country like Denmark, which owns almost half the size of the Canadian library. This means that Danish customers pay 100% more per title than Canadian customers and about 90% more than US and UK customers.

In addition, the average cost of a (global) security is 0.00222 USD. This means that the average customer worldwide pays 57% more per security than Canadian customers, while Danish customers pay 48% more than the average.

When we compare the monthly Netflix cost in the world, Netflix is the cheapest country to watch Netflix. With a monthly cost of $ 5.24 (£ 4.02), the price is $ 2.75 or £ 1.97 less than the United States and the United Kingdom, or about 40%!

In fact, on a cost-per-month basis, the United States and the United Kingdom are not doing very well, with the United States ranking 23rd among the least expensive places and the United Kingdom in the 18th rank. This is probably due to the use of Netflix in the United States, the United Kingdom, and. al., to subsidize growth elsewhere.

However, the United States and the United Kingdom are respectively 3.2% and 5.6% cheaper than the average, the average monthly cost for Netflix being US $ 8.25 (£ 6.34).
