Ford Australia announced prices and specifications before the arrival of the car in Australia in November.
Initially at least, the Focus will be available in three trim levels – Trend, ST-Line and Titanium. Although we do not have prices yet, it is unlikely that price increases will be strong.
The Focus turns 20 this year (although it only arrives in Australia a few years after its launch in Euro) and this car is all-new from the base, according to Ford. The new exterior also has a local connection, with Jordan Demkiw, from Melbourne winning the internal design competition
At this point, all the cars coming here will feature the 1.5-liter three-cylinder turbo-gasoline matched to the Ford's new eight-speed automatic. It will be, Ford hopes, ban the memory of the double clutch PowerShift. Developing 134kW / 250Nm, it is not really a sports machine – it will have to wait for the ST that has made its appearance.
The Focus range also features a standard safety list including AEB, 180 ° reversing camera and keep assisting lane.
The cabin was completely redesigned. With a longer wheelbase, there is more legroom at the rear and other modifications made to the set mean that the dashboard is now 100mm away driver for an Audi style sensation. The number of buttons has been reduced so that the polka-dot effect of the old dash is now logged in the story.

The new 8.0-inch display has the system 'SYNC3' from Ford with GPS, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto The high-end Titanium features the new Bang & Olufsen system for audiophiles.
The range begins, as it has been doing for some time, with the Trend Rolling on alloys of 16 inch, it comes standard with c the eight-speed automatic transmission, air conditioning, automatic wipers and headlights and fabric trim. The Trend will be available in the five-door hatch
The ST-Line replaces the Sport by its own bumper, its black beehive grille and its end caps, as well as a lower suspension of 10 mm with firmer springs and dampers. Drawing on the specifications of the Trend, the ST-Line will also come in the bodywork of the estate. The ST-Line is equipped with a 17-inch alloy, a flat-bottomed steering wheel, a standard cloth trim, a cordless phone and a two-zone air conditioner.
The Titanium is equipped with chrome headlights and driving lights, reverse cross-traffic alert with rear AEB. The Titanium also gets the 675-watt B & O sound system with 10 speakers and leather trim.

Absent from the range is the Vignale with its dynamic damping and, for the moment, we will not see the Active.
Active is a raised Focus in the same vein as the Subaru XV. Driving 30mm higher on larger tires and higher suspension, it also has the unpainted plastic coating of rigor. Ford Australia does not engage in the asset but does not hide its desire to incorporate it into the lineup.
The new Focus will arrive in November and prices will be published closer to its local version.
