Images of Ford GT500 leaked from a meeting of dealers

We are very excited about the prospect of a new GT500. There have been several rumors about the car, one of them suggesting that the Mustang would have a top speed of 200 mph. It is alleged that the new images that were leaked come from a dealer meeting during which the car was presented. The ride on the pictures certainly looks like what Ford is teasing.

The leaks claim that the details proposed at the Las Vegas dealership meeting indicate a power ranging from 780 to 790 hp. The 10-speed automatic transmission that was the subject of rumors would be an option. Some feared that the GT500 is only available in automatic mode.

The 6-speed manual transmission is supposed to be the basic transmission offering and one that purists are most likely to want. It is said that the car carries a lot of carbon fiber treats and many aerodynamic elements. Aero and carbon fiber could mean that the car will have a road course similar to that of the Ford Shelby GT350.

Traditionally, the GT500 Mustang was rather a car in a straight line intended for the acceleration track and rarely seen on a road course. Obviously, Ford is not talking about the car at the moment. According to rumors, mobile phones have been checked at the door of this event, but at least one of them has succeeded.

The gigantic opening at the front of the car should allow the supercharged engine to blow more cooling air. Heat losses due to heat are still a concern for supercharged cars and their high performance use. It is unclear when the car will start, but rumors have been circulating for some time next year.
