ABT teases 1000 HP Audi RS6-E, could it present a kind of electrification?

ABT is working on another delusional Audi RS6, dubbed the RS6-E and would deliver up to 1000 HP.

The German tuning company teased the vehicle with a very clip on Facebook. Unfortunately, he does not show the car, but simply reveals his name. However, the name alone might reveal certain information

Specifically, the presence of "E" in the badge suggests that the vehicle will have some sort of electrification. Audi does not have an electrified variant of the RS6, so if it's a hybrid, the technology will come from elsewhere.

As you probably know, ABT participates in Formula E alongside Audi Sport and Schaeffler. This gives the company access to advanced electric powertrains used in the open wheel racing series.

In fact, Schaeffler created a few months ago a 100% electric Audi RS3 using the powertrain of a Formula E car. ABT could he do the same with the RS6? This is quite possible.

Alternatively, the company may decide to retain the 4.0 liter V8 biturbo engine of the estate and equip it with electric turbochargers or a lightweight 48V hybrid system. Whatever it is, with 1,000 hp, the car will be extremely fast.

Thankfully, we will not have to wait long to see the finished article, as ABT says it will be unveiled on July 5, that is to say two days. In the meantime, think of yourself how an RS6 hybrid with 1000 HP and an extraterrestrial bodykit could be epic.
