Glickenhaus creates a new teaser for a retro-themed sports car

Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus dropped a rendering and some sketches on Facebook today of a new project that is apparently in the works. The only thing we know is that it carries the numerical designation 006 and that it's currently called the Glickenhaus Spyder. That, and we also know that it looks a lot like a classic Ferrari 250, with touches of Corvette and even Shelby Cobra side pipes thrown for good measure.

This is quite different from Glickenhaus's previous designs and teasers, all of which show very modern machines. The most notable of these would certainly be the SCG003, which actually went to the Nürburgring for a blistering 6:33 lap, although the car was dressed in racing and definitely not street legal. The automaker achieved low-producing manufacturer status last year and was scheduled to start its first road car in Monterey, but we have not heard much about it since then.

Other Glickenhaus Projects:

Careful observers will note that there are three digital points between this new rendering and the car that most people know about. SCG004 is a three-seater sports car offered for the road that also carries shades of Ferrari in its form, and yes, it also has a racing version. SGC005 is The Boot, which is a curious off-roader that the company also hopes to literally cross the ocean with an amphibious add-on. SCG certainly has a lot of ambition and a lot of teasers, but up to now the only thing we have seen is its SCG003.

For what it's worth, we hope this new teaser goes beyond the renderings and sketches we see here. The chrome side pipes are a bit ostentatious, but the big headlights and curved bumpers hit us in the sensations. SCG006 seems to be an exquisite and descending touring dynamo
