Official motherboard support lists are always a good source for some up-to-date information on upcoming products. This time, the Taiwanese manufacturer ASRock has started to list some of the AMD chips that have not yet been released, and the company has also added some specifications.

By checking the latest ASRocks compatibility list for their A320, B350, X370 and X470 based motherboards, we take note of a Ryzen 7 2700E processor and a Ryzen 5 2600E processor. Both chips are supposed to turn 45 Watts into heat (45W TDP) and outside that the Ryzen 7 2700E sports eight cores and 16 threads, 16 MB of L3 cache and 4 MB of L2 cache. According to ASRock, this chip is clocked at a base frequency of 2.8 GHz and there is no other information on turbo speeds. Compared to the 105 Watt Ryzen 2700X chip, AMD has reduced the base clock of 900 MHz to reach the significantly lower TDP rating of 45W.

A quick look at the details of the second new chip shows that the Ryzen 5 2600E is a six-core game with 12 threads, 16 MB of L3 and 3 MB of L2 cache. This chip runs at the base clock of 3.1 GHz, 500 MHz less than its big brother, the Ryzen 7 2600X.

Regarding availability, we expect these two chips to be available when AMD gives the go-ahead for the launch of the B450, which could be any day.
