Why Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice does not come to PSVR

[ad_1]

This week brought an unexpected surprise to RV fans. The excellent Ninja Theory adventure game, Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, arrives at the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive next week. Of course, every time a PC VR game is announced, we want to know if this happens also to Sony's PSVR. Unfortunately, this will not happen in this case.

Following his announcement, Ninja Theory took on Twitter to clarify that the game would not come to VR. The reasoning is simple: the experience is made for PCs "very high end". In fact, in the announcement video of yesterday, the studio said that even PC users should have a high-end 1080 graphics card to run the experiment.

This is a disappointing news, if not totally surprising. PSVR has always struggled to keep up with PC VR games from a technical point of view, and Hellblade is far from being the first title of Rift and Vive to switch to console (we're watching you, Fallout 4). The improved PS4 Pro console is better equipped for virtual reality, but Sony does not allow exclusive games for this platform.

I hope we will see the end of these problems when Sony will present the successor to the PS4 in the coming years. Although VR support for this system is similar to any one,

Hellblade arrives on Rift and Vive on July 31 as a free update for anyone who already owns the game on Steam.
