"The central bank is a bigger problem than China

The US central bank has raised interest rates three times so far this year, to the great upheaval of Trump. On Wednesday, Central Bank chief Jerome Powell will hold an important speech after suggesting other interest rates earlier this month.

"I think the central bank is a much bigger problem than China," Trump said in an interview with the Washington Post before the speech.

"They make a loss because I have a feeling of stomach and that feeling sometimes tells me more than someone else 's brain can ever tell me," continues the President.

In addition, he added that he was "not even a little satisfied" because he had chosen to appoint Powell as the new central bank director earlier this year. Trump believes that repeated increases in central bank interest rates are jeopardizing his attempt to accelerate the US economy.

"I get agreements, but I do not get support from the central bank," said the US president.

The central bank should raise its key rate again in December to try to keep inflation below the 2% target. Activity in the US economy has long been strong and unemployment rates of 3.7% are the lowest in 50 years.

Both Powell and several other members of the central bank regularly rejected Trump's political attacks, claiming that they had no impact on their decisions.
