And if you showed neighbors and the world that you had succeeded in the 80s purse, the G class was the number one status symbol.
It is also a more or less identical model since its launch in 1979.
But this year he was finally available in a brand new edition. And then woke the Norwegians again. Not only will they have class G, but they want the best-performing version: the AMG G 63.
A record year
There is no doubt that Norwegians have an idea of Mercedes and their AMG models. 2018 is likely to be another record year. The exact number is not yet clear, but it will be more than the 250 sold in 2017. It was also a record year.
And indeed, the AMG G 63 itself is one of the big locomotives sold.
It's almost a bit weird. As in the 80s, it's one of the most expensive new cars you can buy in Norway.

Soon 50 contracts
The starting price is just over 2.5 million. But there is hardly anyone who buys this without additional equipment for at least NOK 200,000.
Audun Hermansen, head of public relations and information at Mercedes Norway, may be happy to find that cars are being demolished even without any form of marketing.
– We are currently approaching 50 contracts. Our customers were simply cleaned by customers who wanted to get a copy, he said.

On the AMG G 63, the 4MATIC system also has a more propitious rear-drive feature, with a 60/40 split for improved driving dynamics.
Visually, the G 63 is characterized by side exhaust pipes, wider screens, AMG-specific grilles and standard 22-inch AMG wheels.
PS: On the second-hand market, you get Geländewagen up to 75,000 NOK. Secondly, it is often "field wagons" of the type used in the army. At the time of writing this article, more than 100 are on sale at Finn.no.
