Already in August, Gamer.no was able to announce that Sega's classic series, Streets of Rage, was going to have a new life as a sequel, 25 years after the last title.

We now have the first trailer of Streets of Rage 4, reported by Eurogamer among others. You see the trailer at the top of the article.

The fourth game in the series will be developed by Dotemu and Lizardcube. The latter is notably at the origin of Wonder Boy: The Dragon Trap and offers a graphic style and hand drawn animations.

Final fight game

Streets of Rage 4 should include much of the same game mechanics as previous titles, but of course add many new items and a new story. As in other games, you can play alone or defeat enemies with another player.

The games are side-scrolling fighting games in the same street as perhaps the most famous series of Final Fight, and the games were previously available on digital platforms such as Steam.

The Streets of Rages series was launched on Sega Genesis, or Mega Drive, which we called console in our latitudes. The first title was released in 1991 and both suites were marketed in 1993 and 1994.
