Usually, you have to answer the calls of the person on the other end of the line to find out what is happening to you. But because of an unusual bug, this is precisely where Apple's latest iPhone software failed. Their video call solution could start the audio recording without accepting the call.
The 9To5Mac website says that Apple has now disabled Facetime group conversations while waiting for an update to fix the problem.
For those who are receiving such a call, there is no way to see that the phone starts recording the sound before the call is made. Instead, the phone rings as usual. If you are so unlucky that you press the power key when the phone rings, the phone will also start sending video.
Problems with Mac too
The error has affected not only iPhones equipped with Apple's Facetime solution, but also Macs composed in the same way.
Apple initially launched group discussions on the Facetime system last year, but it took some time before the feature was activated. It was only activated at the end of October, and then in the update for iOS 12.1. Since then, it seems that the bug has been active for almost three months, until group conversations are disabled by Apple.
All Facetime calls have not fallen into this bug. You had to stumble or actively provoke it.

Add to the group conversation
To start a conversation this way, you had to first make a video call with another person, the recipient also having to have iOS 12.1. Then you had to add your own phone number again in the conversation so that the sound automatically starts to pass from the recipient's phone to yours.
Last year, Facetime was one of Apple's favorite areas and group discussions were an important news for the solution. It was also possible to use Animojier from Apple during conversations. You could dress up with hats, animals, and other things that were made aware of the conversation along the way.
Disable Facetime if you are not sure
It is unclear exactly when group chats will work again, but an update to correct the error is expected during the week. In the meantime, Apple has disabled this part of the service. If you're still unsure of the feature, disable Facetime completely on your own phone.
