The six crew members were rescued when a fishing boat began to burn outside Røvær, in northern Rogaland. The boat was working overtime when the crew went to the rescue fleet.
"All six boarded the rescue fleet and were finally rescued aboard two other ships, three in each ship," said Rescue Officer Erik Willassen at the Southeast National Rescue Center. Norway to NTB.

The fishing boat was in full blast when the crew decided to abandon the boat. A helicopter was involved in the accident shortly after 5:30 pm. Several other vessels in the area also participated in the rescue operations.
