Havila Shipping recorded an after tax loss of NOK 91.8 million in the third quarter of 2018, compared with NOK 57.7 million in the same period last year.

The pre-tax profit was NOK 91.7 million compared to NOK 56.8 million last year.

Operating profit was negative 48.0 million NOK, compared with 44.3 million NOK in the third quarter 2017.

EBITDA (operating income before depreciation and amortization) amounted to NOK 45.8 million compared to NOK 39.0 million in the same period last year.

Total operating income amounted to NOK 167.7 million compared to NOK 176.7 million in the third quarter of 2017.

Three boats to print

The company now has 23 vessels in operation, six of which are for external owners.

At the end of the quarter, the group had three ships in circulation, all AHTS.

The company reports that two VSPs were removed from circulation in the second quarter. A submarine vessel had short contracts during the quarter.

Of the three PSVs defined outside the core business, two were sold in March 2018 and one in August 2018.

The use of the fleet was 90% in the second quarter of 2018, excluding outstanding ships.

The fleet is capitalized at NOK 3 992.1 million.
