The ambulance was driving with a patient when a road accident occurred later on the road around 12:55 pm Wednesday.
– The ambulance was informed of the accident and was supposed to turn around to go there. She was then hit by another car, "NTB chief executive Eirik Kileng told reporters.
The patient in the ambulance and the driver of the other car were taken by air ambulance, but both are described as "standing" and probably more easily injured.
