Until now, only one letter of intent has been concluded and the order will be distributed on the B737 Max 8 and Max 10.
The Boeing 737 Max has been on the ground since March after two fatal accidents, killing 346 people. Boeing has modified the air traffic control system software, but it remains to be certified and approved.
Since then, Boeing has not received any flying type orders so far.
Replaces the Airbus aircraft
IAG is the parent company of Aer Lingus, British Airways, Iberia, Vueling and Level and ranks among the largest in the aviation sector. The group's airlines have a total of 582 aircraft in the fleet and transported 113 million passengers to 268 destinations last year.
This agreement should add a little more to the Toulouse competitor, because these are airlines that currently use the Airbus A320 series on short and medium journeys.
IAGs come from former large customers of Boeing's wide-legged aircraft. They ordered at the beginning of the year the new B777X, which will complement the current long range fleet of the B777 and B787.
