Bakeries and tracks are ready for the first weekend of the Winter World Cup on Norwegian soil, but the organizers of Lillehammer have admitted it was very dark for a while.

"It was a time when we thought we should not do it, but the gods played against this team this time, we had more cold degrees than we expected and at the same time we had a big snow warehouse. As a result, we can confirm that everything is going according to plan, "says Eiliv Furuli, managing director of the Lillehammer Ski Festival in Skiforbundet.no.

The Norwegian Ski Federation sends 30 cross-country skiers, 11 combined runners and six joggers to the World Cup.

There is a training since Monday morning. On Tuesday, the first teams could test the cross-country ski trails and the returns to the race team were good.

"We are proud of all those who have skied today and it will be great, but we will rain the next two or three days and we will solve it," said Terje Lund, head of events at the Norwegian Federation of ski.

The World Cup weekend begins Friday with cross-country skiing, the combined and the women's jumping. There will be fights for the World Cup in all three branches as well as Saturday and Sunday.
