Melder called after hearing a blow

The emergency call center received the first phone call at 1:43 pm on Thursday.

The call came from a journalist who had heard a boat crush, followed by a bang.

The rescue boat then announced that it must have struck a reef before the Lokkaskjæret in the Namsenfjord, just outside Namsos. It is 465 meters from the airline from where the caller was and to Lokkaskjæret.

At 1:47 am, the main rescue center decided to send the rescue skate immediately. They arrived at the scene at 2:13 pm, before announcing the discovery of two people and asking for the help of health professionals.

Both were unaware when the rescue team arrived at the scene of the accident.

Seven minutes later, the health staff initiated the cardiac and pulmonary rescue of both people.

The evidence was transported to Namsos Hospital at 1442, but their death was confirmed two hours later. Aune was taken ashore at 2:41, before also being transported to the hospital.

She later died of life-threatening injuries.

Police boat not available

The Namsos police usually have a police boat that serves as their watch.

Chief of Police Snorre Haugdahl said the boat was located elsewhere in the district at the Levangermartnan event in the Levanger Municipality.

He also thinks that the response time of 32 minutes has been fast.

The police chief said that the accident investigation committee and forensic technicians would investigate the boat on Friday.

Ingrid Gordon and Lise Hansen live about 400 meters from the scene of the accident and alerted the police about fifteen days and fifteen on Thursday.

– You can always wish better, but that is the reality of Norway lying down. When things happen at sea, it takes a little longer, just like on mountain peaks. Rescue teams are not available at any time or place.
