Bakeries and tracks are ready for the first weekend of the Winter World Cup on Norwegian soil, but the organizers of Lillehammer have admitted it was very dark for a while.

The Norwegian Ski Federation sends 30 cross-country skiers, 11 combined runners and six joggers to the World Cup.

The World Cup weekend begins Friday with cross-country skiing, the combined and the women's jumping.
There will be fights for the World Cup in all three branches as well as Saturday and Sunday.
