Several passengers on board the bus are injured. Five are sent to the hospital, two are seriously injured, according to the University Hospital of Örebro.

The police on site inform Expressen that tourists from Myanmar were on the bus.

"We do not know the extent of the injuries and I do not know in which age group they are," said police officer Jens auf der Heide at NRK.

Passengers in shock

– Eleven people were transported to the Örebro emergency room for a check. There are people who are in shock, says the policeman, Jens auf der Heide.

The bus driver escaped unscathed from the incident.

"He is shocked, but unharmed," Jens auf der Heide told the police.

The police were informed of the incident at 9:22 Saturday morning.

In addition to the bus driver, there were 19 passengers aboard the bus, which was a double deck, which, for unknown reasons, was discarded. The bus sank in a ditch between Berglunda and Adolfsberg in the direction of Västerås and Stockholm.

Until now, no information has been received on the travel company to which the bus belongs.

Traffic in the area is being redirected. The police do not know yet why the bus went off the road and seized it to investigate.
