NRK MARIENLYST (VG) Ten promising new artists have agreed to sing for the run in the fall.

"Stjernekamp" went on air for the first time in 2012 and this year's contest is the eighth in the series.

Adrian Jørgensen (27) from Bindal:

The pop artist finished second in "The Voice" in 2013 – and second in the Melodi Grand Prix earlier this year with the song "Bubble". Aged 27, he was also JOWST's choir at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2017 and Aleksander Walmann (33) at MGP last year. The man Bindal is also known for the Norwegian version of the land number "Despacito" with Carina Dahl (33 years old) in 2018. Jørgensen was working until recently as a fisherman, but it is now the music which applies.

Beate S. Lech (44) of Volda:

Lech is best known as artist Beady Belle and the group of the same name, with whom she debuted 20 years ago. Many also remember her as a singer of the band Folk & Røvere. Lech is in the genre of jazz, soul and R & B and has eight album releases, and contributes to many others. Notably, she collaborated with 39-year-old Jamie Cullum from Britain. Lech also participated in NRK's ​​"Talentiaden" in 1991 and then graduated from the Norwegian School of Music.

Åge Sten Nilsen (49) from Sarpsborg:

Rocker Nilsen has many years of experience as a solo artist, Wig Wam's leading figure, and the more recent group Ammunition, as well as musical and ensemble artist. Nilsen, or "Glam" as it's often called, has already competed with the song on television, and with a lot of luck. Wig Wam won the MGP Award in 2005 and was later broadcast to the Eurovision Song Contest. Nilsen also got rid of the victory in "The Cross" in 2010. He was also featured as presenter of "The Singing Bee".

Andrea Santiago (18) from Måløy:

Santiago is the youngest participant of the year. She was known to viewers in 2017 through "The Voice", where she finished second, along with her rival "Stjernekamp", Adrian Jørgensen. The 18-year-old girl began learning to sing at the age of eight. She has participated several times in Youth Culture, UKM. This year she has been a mentor herself and has been a member of the UKM group of experts. Santiago told VG two years ago that if the dream of pop did not come true, she would be a police officer.

Kim André Rysstad (37) of Valle i Setesdal:

This classically trained woman is one of the most established folk music artists in the country. He also participated in MGP in 2012. The 37-year-old released four previously named albums for both Spellemann and Folklarm. Last year, Rysstad featured among this year's Christmas artists at NRK with the Broadcasting Orchestra, year after the release of the Christmas album "The Snow Making Down" with the London Philharmonic Orchestra.

Anette Amelia Hoff Larsen (36) from Bergen:

The artist and actor played an important role in Nabulungi's role in the critically acclaimed "Book of Mormon" at the Norwegian Theater over the last three years, but she is also known for her productions in Oslo as " Fame "," Evita "," West Side Story ". Sondrey (24) from Øyer to Gudbrandsdalen:

The 24-year-old girl was adopted as a six-year-old Kenyan girl in Norway.

Kari Gjærum (66) from Porsgrunn / Notodden:

Gjærum is one of the participants with the longest speed. She boasts a career of 40 years. She has participated in 11 finals of MGP, mostly as a choir, and five finals of the Eurovison contest. Among other things, Gjærum was on the scene when Bobbysocks won in 1985. Gjærum is a qualified teacher and also studied at the State Opera School. She has appeared in numerous productions and television productions, including "Les Misérables" in the role of Fantine. In 1984, she received the Gammleng Prize.

"I'm mostly afraid of the classic," she said.

Bilal Saab (19) of Hasvik:

The second youngest participant of this year is a friend of the winner of last year, Ella Marie Hætta Isaksen. The pop-soul artist Saab is a singer of the band NorthKid, known for songs like "Firefly" and "Mono". When he does not sing and play, Saab is a passionate fisherman and hunter, and he works daily at a fishing company in Finnmark.

Hanne Sørvaag (39) from Stavanger:

Sørvaag is one of the most established pop artists and songwriters in the country and is the source of success that has sold millions of copies sold in 70 countries. Among other things, she had songs in "American Idol" and figured prominently on the Billboard list in the United States. Sørvaag has published many albums, the most recent a few weeks ago.
