Arvin Taravaty, 20, was stabbed at the Ellingsrud metro in Oslo last September. He died two days later from the damage.
A 24-year-old man is charged with the lawsuit that began today in Oslo District Court.
Taravaty was an active football player before being killed. He won the NM in football with Vålerenga's 16 men's teams in 2012, and then thanked no for an offer to play in team A at Vålerenga because he wanted to focus on his studies.

According to the prosecution, Taravaty was stabbed on the right side of the throat, so that the main pulmonary vein was cut off. He spent two days in the hospital with life-threatening injuries before dying.
The accused refuses to pay a fine but acknowledges the facts of the case.

Judge Peter Blom had to ask for praise several times in the courtroom.
"I registered because everyone was on the point that there had been an epidemic, but I think the referee was quick to set foot and that everything will be fine," said the defendant, defender Jan Christian Kvanvik.
In the days following the murder, the local community was strongly influenced by what had happened. Today, the audience room is also very busy.
After the murder, his family and friends chose to organize a football cup for him.
"Arvin was a nice boy who never fights with anyone, it shows how fast it can go so bad, it's been 20 years that I live here and I've never known this before, it affects a lot", Big brother Ario Taravaty told NRK last fall.
